THINGS TO DO

Excursions / Interests

Benahavis

Benahavis, with its marvelous countryside, mountains and valleys, hillsides and waterfalls,is an authentic ecological paradise. It is protected by a special conservation plan, and one of its beauty spots, known as Las Angosturas , has been declared a Monumento de Interes Natural. It is also renowed for its food scene, Solomillo de Cerdo (pork fillet), suckling pig, roast lamb, oxtail and venison are a few delicacies for which people travel far and wide.

Marbella

Marbella (approx. 10 minute drive) has long been a favourite with British visitors. The old town is delightful, with its’ cobbled narrow pedestrian streets, lined with boutiques, shops and restaurants, and white house’s decorated with brightly coloured plant pots. The old town square, known as Orange Square, as it is surrounded by orange trees, is charming and a great place to sit and have a drink. Marbella is also famous for its beaches, fishing port, and lively night life.

Puerto Banus

A marina development ("The Millionaires Playground"), to the west of Marbella. Banus was the first man made marina on the coast. The port is famous for its glamorous visitors, and you'll find extravagant yachts, shops and many upmarket restaurants, as well as some more reasonably priced eateries.
