ancient Roman villa, built in the 1st Century A.D. by
Agrippa Posthumous, grandson of Emperor Augustus. It is surrounded
by beautiful gardens containing the finest botanical collection,
designed and built by William Waldorf Astor, U.S. Ambassador to
Italy at the beginning of the 20th Century on the site
of a 13th Century convent. This four-storey house has an
enriched past and is full of culture and history as well as being a
luxurious private residence.
